Your day, your way
No perfect sentences needed. A thought, a memory,
something you want to keep. Start there.
Give your thoughts a place. Write and read offline, and find your moments again with the calendar or search.
Sometimes talking feels easier. Say what’s on your mind and turn your words into an entry with cloud transcription.
DearDay automatically finds entries about related topics based on their meaning. AI reflections help you explore themes and connections in your own words.
There’s a story between your days
You write about all sorts of things. DearDay can find the moments that together say something about what’s on your mind.
A week from your journal
Five entries, about different things.
I had an idea during the team meeting, but kept it to myself. What if they think it’s no good?
Part of this storyTried a new pasta recipe. Far too much garlic, but still delicious.
Another topicWrote down three opening sentences for my proposal at the next meeting. It gives me something to hold on to.
Part of this storyWent for a walk by the water. The sky was completely pink.
Another topicShared my plan today. My voice shook a little, but the others asked questions. Glad I went ahead.
Part of this storyFrom looking back to understanding
Starting with your new entry about sharing your plan, DearDay looks for relevant earlier moments. It recognises the connection between keeping an idea to yourself, preparing your words and speaking up.
In this example, the pasta and the evening walk stay out of the reflection. The three entries about making your voice heard form its basis.
✧ 3 relevant entries · 1 reflection
At first, you kept your idea to yourself, worried about the reaction. Later, you gave yourself something to hold on to with three opening sentences. Today you spoke up, even as your voice shook. Your colleagues engaged with your plan.
Across these moments, there’s a small shift: you’re giving your ideas more room, even when it feels daunting.
What helped you say that first sentence today?
Fictional journal entries and a written example reflection. This illustrates how selection can work; it is not a live AI analysis.

AI and dictation require internet access and your consent. Your local entries and saved reflections remain available when Plus ends.
Good to know
Yes. You can write, edit, search and read your entries. AI features are separate from your journal and only become active with Plus and your consent.
For an AI reflection, DearDay compares the meaning of passages from your entries. This semantic selection happens on your device, with help from overlapping words and dates. Experiences can match even when worded differently. If semantic search is temporarily unavailable, the app uses word overlap. Excluded entries are skipped; only the selected text is sent to the cloud service for a reflection after your consent.
Your journal and saved reflections are encrypted on your device. If you enable AI, your new entry and up to five relevant entries are sent to the cloud service for a reflection. The DearDay reflection service does not retain those texts or the response. Our privacy policy explains our AI provider’s processing.
You do not need to create an account or password yourself. The app creates a technical identity in the background for cloud services. You unlock your journal with your device’s security.
You manage your subscription through Google Play. Plus features stop at the end of your paid period. Your local journal and saved reflections remain available. Restoring a subscription does not transfer your journal to another device.
We’re starting with Android. An iPhone version is planned, but there is no release date yet.
DearDay is a personal journal with tools for reflection. It is not a healthcare provider and does not offer diagnoses. AI can make mistakes; you know the context of your life best.
Take a moment. Make it your DearDay.
