Delete your data

Delete your server data using the secret code from the app. Your local journal and reflections stay on your phone.

Delete using your code

Find your code in DearDay under Settings → Delete data from the server. Already uninstalled the app? Use the code you saved outside the app.

This cannot be undone. Your local journal and reflections will be kept. Cancel any paid subscription separately in Google Play. Anonymized usage and cost records may be retained; see the privacy policy. Privacy policy · Google Play

Lost your code or cannot access the app?

You can contact us below. DearDay uses random technical identities. Without your saved code we may be unable to identify the correct old identity. Reinstalling creates a new identity and does not delete the old one. Do not send journal content, passwords or complete identity documents.

Delete your local journal

Your local journal is stored only on your device. Delete entries or reflections in the app, or clear the app data in Android. This can permanently erase your local journal; restoring a subscription does not restore your journal.
